Today the winner of the $5,000 Great Aussie Dream Competition, Kerry-anne Stevens collected her prize money. Kerry-anne was joined by two charities that she and her children chose, the Asthma Foundation WA and Make-a-Wish, to receive an additional $1,000 each.
The Asthma Foundation WA is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping people breathe easier. The Foundation was founded in 1964 from the personal concern of a group of dedicated people, brought together to consider how they might help people affected by asthma. The Asthma Foundation WA has established itself as a leading community organisation that funds local research into asthma and provides education and support services for people with asthma, their families and carers.
The Asthma Foundation WA has a big year ahead celebrating it’s 50th year, and, the 10th year of the Freeway Bike Hike. If you would like to donate or get involved in the Freeway Bike Hike visit the Asthma Foundation WA website.
